Educational purpose
The site is designed for general learning by students, teachers, gardeners, photographers, nature lovers, and researchers seeking an introductory reference. You may link to public pages and quote short passages with clear attribution, subject to applicable copyright law.
Wildlife comes first
Do not use the atlas as permission to handle, collect, move, breed, buy, sell, or release butterflies. Verify local laws and current conservation guidance. Avoid disturbing roosts, pupae, host plants, or sensitive habitat, and do not publish precise locations of vulnerable populations.
Accuracy and change
Butterfly ranges, conservation assessments, taxonomy, and ecological understanding can change. The atlas uses careful general wording, but visitors should consult current authoritative sources for research, land management, or legal decisions.
Photography and image licenses
Site images remain subject to their source licenses and creator attribution requirements, documented in the project README. The absence of a download button does not remove those rights or make public images technically impossible to save.
Availability and updates
The site may be corrected, expanded, or temporarily unavailable without notice. External services connected later—such as email delivery or a newsletter provider—may have additional terms. The site owner should update this page whenever those services change.
